Day 1 - Sat 21st Mar
You’ll traverse the scenic countryside towards Hill End, a historic gold mining town that once boomed during the 1870s gold rush.
Take in the remnants of the past, including heritage buildings and mine relics, before tackling the legendary Bridle Track.
Originally built as a route for gold miners, this trail offers breathtaking views as it winds its way along the Macquarie and Turon Rivers.
Another gem along the way is Sofala, known as the oldest surviving Gold Rush town. Once a bustling hub for prospectors eager to strike it rich along the Turon River, the town almost feels like it's been frozen in time.
Day 2 - Sun 22nd Mar
We push west towards Orange, known for its cool-climate wines and stunning countryside. Cruise through the charming heritage village of Millthorpe, where cobblestone streets and colonial architecture offer a step back in time.
Then gear up for a rugged detour to the historic Ophir Goldfields, the site of Australia’s first payable gold discovery.
This historic location, nestled at the junction of Summer Hill Creek and Lewis Ponds Creek, offers a glimpse into the gold rush era with its old mining tunnels and scenic bushland.
Day 3 - Mon 23rd Mar
Our final day, the adventure continues towards Oberon, a town known for its stunning pine forest trails and its proximity to the famous Jenolan Caves.
Oberon’s history is deeply tied to early European settlement and the timber industry, making it a fascinating stop on your ride.
Over three incredible days, you’ll have experienced a ride filled with history, adventure, and the untamed beauty of the Central Tablelands, this ride promises an exhilarating escape into the past and present of Australia’s gold country.
Long and short routes are offered, ensuring something for everyone.
Each day starts and finishes at the Panorama Motel, there is a Rider Safety Briefing you must attend at 7:30am each morning.
If you're riding home at the end of Day3, you can store your luggage on-site and collect when you sign out.
