Prerides are done and the routes are fantastic.
Both routes have some small changes over previous years with more trails being opened up since the bushfire recovery.
Some of the trails for SCAR have become overgrown and a little more rocky in some sections, which really adds to the feeling of remoteness while picking lines through tree lined corridors.
Gandin's Gully was reasonably dry during the preride too, which is great as it means all riders will be able to do the entire route without the need to use the by-pass.
After completing the SCAR preride, we had a look at a couple of the trails and ridgelines that have been closed for the last 2 years.
Great news...the twisty River Run is back, so too are the stunning climbs and decents over the eastern ranges.
We'll be back out to do a full preride of the AraluenBLITZ next week.
The weather forecast is excellent for both tours and we have some small technical breakouts on both along with wet weather options if needed.
